Cambridge wildlife control tip of the month:
Snake Repellent
Snake repellents are a myth and anyone claiming they work is most definitely fooling you. Those Cambridge pest control snake
repellents you but are mostly moth flakes (or naphthalene) and sulfur in it. And there is no definite
proof that they work at all. Some people have even poured very large quantities into their dens, and the
snakes couldn’t care less. It did not keep them away; they just continued to use the den. Moth balls are
also toxic, carcinogenic and can do damage to the environment. People who have snake phobias usually fall
for the trick of moth ball repellents. Cambridge animal control Repellents can come in liquid, spray or powder form, but basically,
it is the same thing. They do not work! And there is actually a paradox connected to them. They say that they
are harmless for the environment, but you should wear protective gloves and masks when using them. Isn’t that
stupid?
Predator urine is also used to keep them away, like coyote or bobcat urine. Snakes do not like pigs, so people
sometimes use pig manure to keep them away. That will not help. If a snake does not see a pig, it will come.
Natural solutions are also offered. Cambridge wildlife removal Solutions like hot peppers, cinnamon and mint. The myth is, when a snake
slithers over it, the spice burns its skin. And that is a lie because snakes have a hardened scales outside of
their bodies and even snakes with the thinnest skin will not be affected by any kind of spice you put on the
ground. Not to say that it can be very expensive to put such large amounts of spice on large areas.
There is also a myth of those electrical Cambridge exterminator repellents that keep snakes and other creatures away. They produce
ultrasonic pulses which apparently snakes and other creatures cannot stand. There is no any kind of proof that
this is true. And it is also highly illogical. There is nothing in the nature that emits ultrasonic pulses, so
why snakes or any other kind of animal would be repelled by it? All those Cambridge animal trapping repellents are designed exclusively for
one purpose, and that is to lure money away from your pocket if you are naïve enough. There is no way to repel a snake
with any kind of repellent that is on the market. That is almost the same as if you have a tiger whistle that keeps
tigers away.
